HUNTER SAFETY
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources and the Cedar Rod and Gun Club will be holding the next annual hunter safety course in August 2009.  Class begins at 8am-5pm on both days of the session.  The Saturday classroom session is held at Glen Lake High School cafeteria, and the Sunday range session will meet at the Cedar Rod and Gun Club on Sullivan road.  The class is free of charge. Students must be at least 9 years of age at the time of the class.  Parents are encouraged to attend with their student.  Please bring the following:  #2 pencil (sharpened), students full name, address, phone #, clothing appropriate for the weather (rain or shine), and a positive attitude toward the out of doors and this learning experience.  Saturday will be our book learning day so patience and a good attention span will be needed.  Sunday we will be on the range with hands on learning of rifles, shotguns, handguns, bow & arrow, muzzle loading firearms and specialty hunting/calling. Lunch will be provided both days.
